Syracuse Gets 16-7 Win
The Lair at Sabercat Field was the site for RCL R action featuring the Sedona Sabercats and Syracuse Orange Sox.

The Syracuse Orange Sox cut down the Sedona Sabercats by the score of 16-7, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Romain Torres. Torres went 2-4 with a double and 3 walks. He scored 4 times for the Orange Sox. Syracuse pitcher Danny Araiza earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Tony Ramirez suffered the loss.

Syracuse used a well-timed hit by Jon Horne to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Orange Sox ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Horne.

The last-place Sabercats dropped to 31-54.
