Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Caribbean Commies and Wichita Storm.
The Caribbean Commies topped the Wichita Storm, 8-6, with youngster Alex Pardo playing a key role. Pardo was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Commies in the win. Carmem Verdasca was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he yielded 1 run on 6 hits, with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts.
