Pientka Helps Larvae Run Win Streak to 4
The The Stinging Larvae and Clearlake Captains obliged those fans who came to The Queen hoping for an exciting game.

Getting a good performance from first baseman Scott Pientka, the The Stinging Larvae defeated the Clearlake Captains, 9-8. Pientka was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Larvae. The Stinging reliever Tristan Meyers picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Chris Beltran took the loss. Gil Agostini recorded the save for The Stinging, his 3rd of the season.

Cesar Fernandez's at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning was a big one for The Stinging. Coming to bat with two out, the bases loaded and The Stinging trailing 8-6, the designated hitter hit a 2-run single.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Pientka, "but we got it done."

The last-place Larvae have won 4 in a row.
