Cyclones Take Home 4-3 Win Over Caribbean
Caribbean designated hitter Ron Thames had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-3, to Brooklyn at The Lava Flow. Thames was 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. Brooklyn reliever Danny Canales picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Francisco Castillo absorbed the loss. The triumph puts Brooklyn at 37-31 for the season.

Alfredo Valdez drew 1 walk for Brooklyn. The 19-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Francisco Castillo. It was his 6th walk of the season.

Valdez called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
