Villalobos Powers Caribou Offense
The Frobisher Bay Caribou knocked off the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 10-7, at Scripps Field. Alexis Villalobos hit 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. The winner was Frobisher Bay reliever Jason Fleming, now 2-1. The loser was Marvin Martijn. Bruce Ray picked up the save, his 10th.

Frobisher Bay catcher Steve Treu contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 40th hit of the season and put the Caribou ahead, 7-5.

"I was hoping to make good contact," said Treu. "I wasn't trying to knock the snot out of it."

The Caribou improved their record to 38-28 by beating Boca Raton.
