Ugalde Now 3-3 After Subduing Thunder
|
Pitcher Eddie Ugalde was sensational for the The Stinging Larvae in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Key West Thunder. Ugalde received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Gil Agostini got the save, the 1st for him this season. Even with the win, the Larvae have a dismal 13-26 record.
Ugalde, a native of Veracruz, Mexico, was dealing all game. He kept Key West hitters off-balance, while giving the Larvae 7 quality innings. Ugalde threw 100 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 11.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said The Stinging skipper Juan Jose Carbaja.
