Pottle Excels, But Bison Win
The Bighorn Bison spoiled a good performance by Vancouver catcher Tom Pottle, bumping off Vancouver, 5-4, at Ram Brewery Ballpark. Pottle belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Bighorn reliever Mike Lake picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Dennis Follett took the loss. The victory gives Bighorn a record of 48-45.

Salt Lake City, Utah-born Tom Clingan came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Bison trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to right to put Bighorn on top.

"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Clingan.
