Oconto Falls Beats Carrollton, 4-1
|
Oscar Enriquez brought his A-game to help Oconto Falls defeat the Carrollton Rangers, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Enriquez, now 7-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. Picking up his 3rd save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Fowler.
Oconto Falls used a well-timed hit by Francisco Lopez to capture the win. The first baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Timbers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Enriquez said.
With the win, Oconto Falls goes to 47-29, while the Rangers fall to 42-34.
