The Key West Thunder defeated the Frobisher Bay Caribou, 5-2. Catcher Matt Puhr deserved a large share of the credit. Puhr was 1-2 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Thunder. Key West is now 24-29.

With Key West leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Puhr hit a slider from Miguel Cisneros for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Thunder ahead, 3-0.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Puhr after the game.
