Islanders Slap 4-2 Loss on Caribbean
The Coronado Islanders topped the Caribbean Commies, 4-2, in TML R action at Barack H. Obama Park. The standout performance belonged to Coronado pitcher and San Francisco, California, native Nick Rosin. The victory gives Coronado a record of 41-34.

Roy Martin had a big 2-run double for the Islanders in the bottom of the second inning. With Coronado leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Gomez and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Islanders ahead, 3-0.

"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Coronado skipper Ed Lenhardt.
