Sasquatch Lose By a Run at Dallas
|
The Dallas Texans picked up a win at Metroplex Park, dropping the Seattle Sasquatch, 5-4. Mike Boyle, who finished 4th in the RCL in strikeouts with 177 last year, was the difference-maker. Dallas reliever Luigi Lightfoot picked up the win to move to 1-2. Juan Macias suffered the loss. The Texans go to 31-49, putting them last in the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division.
Dallas took a 5-4 lead on Tony Curiel's 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Curiel hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Seattle pitcher Juan Macias visibly frustrated.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Dallas manager Gary Stoy.
