Romero Powers Lighting to 6-2 Win

The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
The Thunder Bay Lighting trumped the Scottsdale Scorpions, 6-2, at Lightning Grove. Thunder Bay left fielder Danny Romero was terrific. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once. Thunder Bay reliever Jorge Torres picked up the win to move to 6-0. Santos Lorenzana suffered the loss.
Early in the game, Romero had a grand slam home run for Thunder Bay. It was his 20th home run of the season and put the Lighting on top, 4-0.
Said losing manager Sergio Guerrero: "Give the Lighting credit. They played a better game than we did."
Scottsdale, at 34-19, has lost 4 straight.
