Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the West Island Jazz got the win.

In a low-scoring contest between the West Island Jazz and the Quebec Armada, 34-year old left-handed pitcher Oscar Alfaro proved to be the difference. The West Island left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Jazz win. Ernesto Herrera earned the save for West Island, his 3rd.

Making an impact for West Island was shortstop Bob Enriquez. 2052 BD drilled a 2-run home run off David McPhail in the top of the fifth. For the game, Enriquez was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"Against this team here, fangs out late in the game, it's nice to beat them," said West Island skipper Pedro Gonzáles.

The loss lowers the Quebec record to 4-6.
