The Yuma Varmits topped the Carrollton Rangers, 7-3, in TML R action at Rangers Field. The standout performance belonged to Yuma pitcher and Cayey, Puerto Rico, native Victor de Leon. At 35-36, the Varmits claim 4th place in the TML R Otto Velez Division.

It could have been a different outcome for Yuma, had it not been for Izzy Acuna, the 19-year old shortstop . Acuna contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Yuma up, 5-3.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said de Leon.
