Cyclones Get Clutch Win, 5-4
The Brooklyn Cyclones licked the Normal Nutcrackers, 5-4. Alex Caceda deserved a big chunk of the credit. The designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Cyclones. Brooklyn reliever Minoru Otsuka snagged the win, upping his record to 4-1. Nestor Martinez shouldered the loss. The first-place Cyclones have a one-game lead in their division.

It could have been a different outcome for Brooklyn, had it not been for Tommie Parker, the 20-year old first baseman . Parker contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Brooklyn up, 5-4.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Normal manager Juan Colo said, following the tough loss.
