Sasquatch Get Extra-Inning, 7-6 Win
|
The Seattle Sasquatch beat the Walnut Creek Warriors, 7-6, in 14 innings, in part because of second baseman Noah Kate. He went 3-8 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The win went to Rick Clark in relief, making him now 2-1. Mike Traver took the loss for Walnut Creek. Walnut Creek has now lost 5 in a row.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 14th. With two out, Kate hit a fastball from Mike Traver for a run-scoring double. The Sasquatch, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Big win," said Kate.
