Yuma got a decent performance from pitcher Shane Stonebarger, but it wasn't enough to beat the Carrollton Rangers. Carrollton won the Rangers Field contest, 5-2. Stonebarger threw 7.2 innings allowing 5 runs for the losing team. Picking up the save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Ted Owens. The win puts Carrollton at 40-30 this season.

Manny Alarcon went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Carrollton. The 18-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Shane Stonebarger. It was his 37th walk of the season.

Alarcon attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
