Caterpillars Make It 18 Straight Losses
The Thunder Bay Lighting managed to get by the Easton Caterpillars, 2-1, at Lightning Grove. Thunder Bay pitcher Jeff Kramer set himself apart with his performance. The misery continues for the Caterpillars, who have now dropped 18 in a row.

The Lighting got a big at-bat from first baseman Mario Casares. For the game, Casares went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Thunder Bay a 2-1 lead.

Casares told reporters after the game: "Runs were at a premium, so a good win for us."
