Victory Over Revenge Takes Prince George to 18-8
|
Prince George Cougars starter Tyler Sullivan turned in an exceptional performance against the Barbados Revenge at The Drunken Wench Stadium, resulting in a Prince George win, 5-1. Sullivan went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-0. Leo Navarro recorded the save for Prince George, his 2nd of the season.
With runs few and far between, the Cougars had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Prince George came in the top of the sixth inning, when second baseman Omar Trujillo delivered a run-scoring double. The double was hit off David Quinones and made the score 3-1, Cougars. Trujillo was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Trujillo told the Prince George Observer.
The last-place Revenge have lost 4 straight games.
