Bison Lose to Pilots, 4-0
|
The Jacksonville Pilots downed the Buffalo Bison, 4-0, at Arnold Field. Jacksonville pitcher Lewis Peterson definitely brought his A-game. Jacksonville, at 39-40, sits in 6th place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.
Angel Sanchez had a big 2-run double for the Pilots in the bottom of the first inning. With Jacksonville leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a knuckle curve from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Felix Reina Jr. and swatted a double to left. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pilots ahead, 3-0.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Peterson.
