Thorpe Helps Brooklyn Cruise to 10-3 Win
Brooklyn catcher Bob Thorpe had 7 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Paradise Island Pirates, 10-3. Jose Acuna got the win, improving to 4-2. He held the Pirates to 3 runs on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. Trevor Chapman notched his 1st save in 1 chances.

Thorpe contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Brooklyn in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Thorpe took a sinker from Mark Thomsen and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Cyclones to leap in front, 5-3.

"This was a total team effort," said Thorpe.
