Caribou Ungvarsky Strikes out 17 Revenge
|
Jason Ungvarsky of the Frobisher Bay Caribou put on a pitching clinic at The Drunken Wench Stadium, as he struck out 17 Barbados Revenge in a 1-0 victory. Ungvarsky, who is tied for 2nd in the RR in quality starts with 7, was simply magnificent, holding the Revenge to 3 hits. He walked 2.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Ungvarsky said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Ungvarsky's performance, Caribou manager Lao Lo shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
This year, Ungvarsky has posted a record of 8 wins and no losses with a 1.54 ERA. He has appeared in 8 games and struck out 100 in 64.1 innings.
