The Bighorn Bison topped the Walnut Creek Warriors, 7-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Ram Brewery Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Bighorn right fielder Tony Mares. With the win, Bighorn goes to 4-4.

The Bison got a big at-bat from first baseman Danny Douglass. For the game, Douglass went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Bighorn a 3-1 lead.

"Whenever I help the team," said Mares, "I feel like I earned my paycheck."
