Fans watched the Montreal Mounties and the Havana Stogies fight to the finish.

The Montreal Mounties defeated the Havana Stogies, 4-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Mount Royal Grounds. Montreal pitcher Rob Schuss had a standout performance. Bill Wolfe closed the door for Montreal, picking up his 6th save of the year.

Had Cody Jaeger not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Jaeger hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Mounties.

"This team is real focused right now," said Montreal manager Julián Martínez.

The loss drops Havana to 4-5.
