The Eureka Hornets routed the Eagle Rock Ridge Runners, 13-3, at Ozark Mountain Stadium. Benny Rodriguez, who finished 2nd in the TML in triples with 16 in 2061, was one of the hitting stars. He was 4 for 6 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Eureka. Eagle Rock's current losing streak is now 5 games.

Brian Carr had a big bases-clearing double for the Hornets in the top of the second inning. With Eureka leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a screwball from Roberto Vallejos, who finished 4th in the TML in ERA with 3.03 in 2052, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 24th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hornets ahead, 5-0.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Carr told the Eureka News.
