Mooses Reel-In 2-1 Win Over Lighting
|
The Thunder Bay Lighting wasted an inspired, 6-inning effort from starter Jeff Kramer, falling, 2-1, to the Manchester Mooses at Lightning Grove. Luppe Frijters, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Manchester, with the win, sits at 8-26.
Manchester took a 2-0 lead on Oscar Vigil's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Vigil hit in the top of the eighth, left Thunder Bay pitcher Ben Waite visibly frustrated.
"They were just a little bit better than us," Thunder Bay manager Masamune Fujimoto said.
