Scottsdale starter Victor Reyes put a stranglehold on the Barbados offense. The left-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Scorpions to a 3-0 win. Reyes picked up the win for Scottsdale, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 5-0. Scottsdale has rattled off 6 straight wins.

Israel Jimenez had a big run-scoring double for the Scorpions in the bottom of the third inning. With Scottsdale leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Ryan Brewbaker, who is tied for 8th in the RR in strikeouts with 54, and swatted a double to right. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Scorpions ahead, 2-0.

"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Barbados manager Dan Barkdull. "It's just not paying off."
