Though he had a stellar game, Marshall Rees could not prevent his team, the Caribbean Commies, from losing, 4-3, to the Prince George Cougars. Rees went 3 for 3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win puts Prince George at 23-7 this season.

Prince George took a 4-3 lead on Mike Stefan's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Stefan hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Caribbean pitcher Lorenzo Rodriguez visibly frustrated.

"If you chase it, you need to get it," said Prince George skipper Sergio Martínez.
