It was a fun time at The Nutcracker Suite, where the Victoria Totems and Normal Nutcrackers tangled.

Normal got an elite performance from starting pitcher Josh Tennyson in taking a 7-0 decision over the Victoria Totems. Tennyson went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-1.

The Nutcrackers got a big at-bat from third baseman Brett Margerum. For the game, Margerum was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Normal a 3-0 lead.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Tennyson told the Normal Gazette.

The Totems drop to 8-8 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2043 season.
