The Scottsdale Scorpions scooped up a win at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker, dumping the Easton Caterpillars, 8-2. Victor Reyes, who leads the RR in wins with 4, was essential to his team's success. Reyes got the win, improving to 4-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The Scorpions, now 18-8, know that wins in July count the same as wins in September.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jerry Baugh? The Scottsdale catcher had a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Scorpions on top, 4-2. For the game, Baugh had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
