Rangers Drop KO with Late Score
The Long Beach KO got a superb performance from pitcher David Jordan. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Rockville. The Rangers won the game, 5-3. In spite of the loss, Jordan was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings allowing 5 runs. Jonathan Bustamante closed the game out for Rockville, earning his 2nd save. The Rangers are off to a tough start, getting just their 4th win in 16 games.

Had John Chaney not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Chaney hit a 2-run double. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Rangers.

Chaney expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
