A 4-RBI performance from the 20-year old center fielder Duncan Carter helped the Easton Caterpillars beat the Caribbean Commies, 6-5. David Mercado claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 4.1 innings. His record stands at 1-0. The last-place Caterpillars own a record of 2-24.

With Easton trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Carter hit a fastball from Francisco Castillo for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Caterpillars ahead, 4-2.
