Orange Sox Procure 14-12 Victory
The Syracuse Orange Sox downed the Savannah Peaches, 14-12, the largest share of the credit belonging to first baseman Alex Marrero. On the day, Marrero was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 for the Orange Sox. Jong-ho Chang got credit for the save for Syracuse. It was his 1st of the year. Syracuse is sailing along at 46-9.

Syracuse needed the clutch hitting of Santos Arenas to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Orange Sox on top, 14-11. For the game, Arenas had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Being in first place now is good," said Arenas. "Being in first at the end of the season is better. That's our goal."
