Miners Walk Off with 2-1 Win

People outside the ballpark no doubt heard the roar of the crowd as the winning run crossed the plate.
Sylva pitcher Dave Andrews had a large part in his team beating the Scottsdale Scorpions, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winner was Sylva reliever Jeremy Remington, now 2-0. The loser was Victor Reyes.
Jaheim Burke delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the ninth to win it for the Miners. For the game, Burke drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances.
Burke said he "would like to have scored more runs for Moran. But we'll gladly take this win."
The Miners have a winning streak of 6 games.
