The Brooklyn Cyclones converted a terrific effort from starter Jorge Melgoza into a win over the Rockville Rangers at The Lava Flow. The Cyclones won the game by a final score of 4-0. The Cyclones now have a record of 10-13 with the win over Rockville.

Forrest Backstrom, who is tied for 9th in the RR in triples with 1, chipped in a 2-run single for Brooklyn in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
