Barbados Beats Frobisher Bay, 7-5

Barbados and Frobisher Bay duked it out and the Revenge came out victorious.
Though he had a stellar game, Cody Gounaris could not prevent his team, the Frobisher Bay Caribou, from losing, 7-5, to the Barbados Revenge. Gounaris went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Reliever Tomokazu Sato picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. David Pacheco took the loss. Doug Blais earned the save for Barbados, his 5th.
It could have been a different outcome for Barbados, had it not been for Esteban Munoz, the 19-year old shortstop . Munoz contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Barbados up, 2-0.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Revenge manager Dan Barkdull. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
Yes, it was a win for Barbados; but their 6-18 mark is nothing to crow about.
