Prince George defeated Thunder Bay, 9-3, in large part due to 17-year old left fielder Bruce Rivero. Rivero drove in 5 runs. The first baseman had 1 double and 1 home run for the Cougars. Vincent Cesena earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. Prince George is now 18-6, 4 games up in the RCL R Tony Fernandez Division.

With Prince George trailing 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Rivero hit a fastball from Danny Moreno for a grand slam home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Cougars ahead, 4-1.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Rivero told the Prince George Bulletin.
