Caribou Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Frobisher Bay Caribou starter Tadashige Hirakawa pitched a strong game against the Moncks Corner Homewreckers at Kitfield Castle, leading the Caribou to a 3-1 win. Hirakawa got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 5 over 8 innings. Hirakawa allowed 1 earned run. The Homewreckers fall to 5-9 and continue their lackluster start to the 2043 season.
Frobisher Bay needed the clutch hitting of Chris Strauss to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Caribou on top, 3-1. For the game, Strauss had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
