The Oconto Falls Timbers overcame a pretty good performance by Caribbean second baseman Franklin Salinas, beating the Commies, 4-2, in 10 innings. Salinas went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Jose Gomez picked up the win in relief for Oconto Falls, while Carlos Molina took the loss. Earning his 8th save for Oconto Falls was Alex Magana.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Miguel Calderon? The 20-year old right fielder Calderon stroked a run-scoring walk in the top of the tenth inning to put Oconto Falls up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
