Backstrom Belts 2 Homers in 9-8 Win
In a high-scoring contest between Brooklyn and Key West, third baseman Forrest Backstrom was a difference-maker. Backstrom distinguished himself in the 9-8 Brooklyn win. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The 4th-place Cyclones now have a record of 10-11.

With Brooklyn trailing 6-5 in the top of the ninth, Backstrom hit a fastball from Jose Gonzales for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 9-6.

"What a game," said Backstrom. "We needed every last run."
