Baughman Mows Down 15 Revenge
|
Everything was working for Dan Baughman at The Drunken Wench Stadium. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The cutter was working.
In an unforgettable performance, the 19-year-old Baughman fanned 15 Revenge and sparked the 4-1 Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas victory over Barbados. He left Revenge hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it.
"I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Boca Raton manager Tomohiro Harada. "His location and command were really something."
In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 8.1 innings, Baughman allowed 4 hits and 4 walks in a superlative outing.
"I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Baughman said with a smile.
In 5 starts this season, Baughman has rung up a 1-4 record and a 4.50 ERA.
