Rosewell Sends Oconto Falls Packing with 4-2 Loss
|
The Rosewell Tribbles and Oconto Falls Timbers played an exciting game.
Rosewell pitcher Franklin Tamez had a large part in his team beating the Oconto Falls Timbers, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Tamez yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 11. His record improves to 6-3. Roger Vasquez earned the save for Rosewell.
Freddy Montenegro, who is tied for 5th in the TR with a .404 batting average, took Oconto Falls hurler Carlos Rotiz deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Tribbles on top, 2-0. In all, Montenegro had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
Said losing manager Jian-guo Yang: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
The third-place Tribbles now sit at 37-16.
