Delgado has 3 hits to Fuel Cyclones Offense
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones defeated the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas by the score of 6-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Omar Delgado. Delgado went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Cyclones on the day. Juan Rodriguez earned the save for Brooklyn, his 13th of the year. The Cyclones raised their record to 38-15.
With Brooklyn leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Delgado hit a 2-run single off Boca Raton hurler Alex Quiles. It was the 62nd hit of the season for Delgado and put his team ahead, 4-1.
"Good win," said Delgado. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
