The Thunder Bay Lighting reigned over the Scottsdale Scorpions in damp conditions.

The 4-RBI night of shortstop Bobby Vargas helped the Thunder Bay Lighting triumph, 8-3, over the Scottsdale Scorpions. The Lighting have a winning streak of 4 games.

Alberto Melchor helped out the Thunder Bay cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the designated hitter drove in one run.

"Not one of our better nights," said Scottsdale skipper Sergio Guerrero.
