Sabercats Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Sedona rode a decent outing from starter Ricky Hermosillo to victory over the The Stinging Larvae at The Queen. The final score was 7-2. Hermosillo went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 1-2. The Sabercats are off to a tough start, getting just their 3rd win in 10 games.
It could have been a different outcome for Sedona, had it not been for Nate Ingram, the 18-year old first baseman . Ingram contributed a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth inning to put Sedona up, 7-0.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Ingram.
