Scottsdale Wins 8-2 to Continue Red-Hot Start
Scottsdale Scorpions starter Victor Reyes had all his pitches working at Scottsdale Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Scottsdale win over the Thunder Bay Lighting. The Scorpions, now 12-4, have been sizzling early on.

The Lighting had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Scorpions going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 19-year old center fielder Ian Lamb came to the plate. Lamb hit a grand slam home run on a first pitch sinker from Thunder Bay hurler Orlando Cuevas. It was Lamb's 6th home run of the year.

"It was a good win," said Scottsdale manager Sergio Guerrero. "Not without blemish, but good."
