Victoria and Wichita got after it at The Storm Center.
Getting a good performance from right fielder David Anders, the Victoria Totems defeated the Wichita Storm, 7-0. Anders was 2-3 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Totems. Rainer Evans earned the win to go to 2-1. He allowed no earned runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 9 strikeouts. Alonzo Calvillo recorded the save for Victoria, his 1st of the season.
With Victoria leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Anders hit a fastball from Jimmy Ward for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Totems ahead, 4-0.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Anders.
The Totems raised their record to 6-3.
