Walt Malone had a strong outing for the Frobisher Bay Caribou against the Key West Thunder at Gatorade Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-3 win. The winner was Malone. He threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Manny Castro. Early on, the Caribou, at 10-4, have put the pedal to the metal.

Brennan Belvin delivered a big hit for Frobisher Bay. The right fielder drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Caribou ahead, 7-3. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"Walt was in attack mode," said Frobisher Bay manager Lao Lo.
