Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Caribbean Commies and Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas.

The Caribbean Commies buried the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 13-2, under a barrage of hits. Victor Palomino led the onslaught, going 3-for-3 for Caribbean. Pablo Flores picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-5 on the season. He struck out 10 and walked 2 in 5.1 innings, while yielding no runs.

The fans who came to support the Commies were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Castro Field.

Boca Raton manager Tomohiro Harada called the blowout loss "undesirable."

The last-place Commies are now 16-35, the Fighting Iguanas 21-30.
