The Scottsdale Scorpions tallied a win at The Back Draft, throttling the Prince George Cougars, 8-2. Starting pitcher Santos Lorenzana was a big reason for his team's success. Prince George, with the loss, is still a hardy 9-2.

Scottsdale used the hitting of William Stall to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Scorpions on top, 2-0. For the game, Stall had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Prince George skipper Sergio Martínez.
