The Barbados Revenge and Syracuse Orange Sox played an entertaining game for Syracuse Fields patrons.

The Barbados Revenge did just enough to sneak past the Syracuse Orange Sox, 6-5, at Syracuse Fields. Barbados pitcher Juan Jimenez, in particular, had a standout performance. Rich Jasso earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Juan Molinar earned the save for Barbados, his 4th of the year.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Mario Juarez was at the plate when Barbados scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Revenge to go in front, 6-5.

"We have a lot of confidence in Juan," said Barbados manager Charlie Hide.

Barbados, now 5-8, is off to a slow start.
