Nunez, Orange Sox Too Much for Commies
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Syracuse Fields.

In the 11-6 Syracuse win over Caribbean, the impact of Edgar Nunez was substantial. Nunez went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The losses continue to add up for Caribbean, having now dropped 8 straight.

The Orange Sox got a big hit from second baseman Abraham Quintero. In the bottom of the sixth, Quintero smacked a 2-run double off Caribbean pitcher Alex Castro. It was his 4th double of the season. Suddenly, the Orange Sox were ahead, 5-4.

"We're learning some lessons in the school of hard knocks," philosophized losing manager Atamas Manas.
